Elizabeth combines more than 20-years of experience as a television journalist in newsrooms throughout the country and a second career in strategic communications and public relations to highlight brand stories and manage communications crises.

She has led media relations, social media and community outreach at Unbound, a global organization fighting poverty, and also at Kansas City University, where she placed stories in publications such as Huffington Post, Chicago Tribune, Life Wire, MSNBC, CNBC, US News & World Report, MLS Soccer, Fortune, AARP, Saturday Evening Post and many trade and local publications and broadcasts.

Elizabeth was recognized with numerous journalistic awards during her career as an anchor and reporter, including five regional Emmy Awards. As an investigative journalist, she developed skills she now puts to use in training corporate and nonprofit leaders as they navigate media interviews.

Elizabeth believes deeply in service, and has travelled throughout the world with Heart to Heart International, Medical Missions Foundation and United Aid Foundation to tell the stories of humanitarian work. She is a member of the Metropolitan Community College Foundation Board, KCPBS Board of Directors, Mattie Rhodes Center and United Aid Foundation.

The Kansas City Press Club, The Kansas City Social Media Club and Nonprofit Connect Filly Awards have honored Elizabeth. She has received a Madame President Camp Distinguished Leadership Award, Medical Missions Foundation Humanitarian Award and the Delta Gamma Oxford Award.
