Kelsey Rockey

Director of Account Services

Kelsey guides our clients’ editorial and social media strategies and is an experienced special events producer. She joined the Parris team in 2010 and has developed and executed communications campaigns for a variety of clients including Polsinelli, Hallmark, QuikTrip, Shawnee Mission Health, Burns & McDonnell, Smashburger, MRIGlobal, Midwest Transplant Network and KCP&L.

Kelsey played a key role in Parris’ pro bono work for ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode hosted in nearby Ottawa, Kan. which led to national media exposure for many local businesses and organizations. She uses her relationships and tactical communication skills to place her clients in the media, which has included placements in The Huffington Post, Bloomberg, Redbook, Harper’s Bazaar, MORE Magazine, Women’s Day, MSN and a number of trade outlets and local media across the country.

Kelsey is currently involved in developing and executing strategic communication plans, media relations campaigns, social media strategies and a variety of special projects and events. She uses her strong understanding of the media to support clients through crisis situations, including strategy and message development. Kelsey has experience leading product launches and grand openings, and uses her keen attention to detail and strong writing skills to develop communications for clients, such as press releases, blogs, social media and messaging for spokespersons. Her work has been recognized at the Greater Kansas City Public Relations Society of America’s PRISM Awards every year since 2010.

Kelsey is a graduate of Baker University, having earned a degree in Mass Media with a double emphasis in Print and Broadcast. She was a three-time captain and All-Conference player on the Wildcat softball team. Academically, she earned a spot on the Dean’s Honor Roll for four years.

Kelsey is a member of Centurions, a leadership development program for Kansas City’s emerging leaders. She spent three years as a Steering Committee Member for The United Way of Greater Kansas City’s LINC Group and currently serves on the Steering Committee for the nonprofit organization RareKC, leading PR and social media sub-committees. She is a former “Big Sis” for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City organization. Kelsey is an avid sports fan, and proudly cheers on the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, two young daughters, and mini Australian Shepard, Ralph.
