Mark Bonavia

Senior Communications Strategist

Mark has 30 years experience as a public relations strategist. Among his career highlights include serving as Sprint’s Director-National Media Relations, where he oversaw all corporate, financial and national media relations for the company. Mark directed all M&A transactions, corporate positioning for the introduction of Sprint PCS – the company’s wireless business - and all other major corporate initiatives. He also drove media relations strategy for high-profile Sprint sponsorships of the NFL, the Rolling Stones “Bridges to Babylon” tour and the U.S. Ski Team.

In addition to his media relations expertise, Mark is a seasoned speechwriter and developer of executive content. He served as chief speechwriter to three-consecutive Sprint CEOs.  He also served as senior communications counsel to the presidents of Sprint’s business-to-business division as well as its consumer division. 

Mark has earned a proven reputation for delivering results for company executives, establishing their reputations as opinion leaders and building their credibility through keynote speeches, investor presentations, social media and employee communications. In addition to his work with Parris Communications, he leads Bonavia Executive Communications, LLC, a growing executive content business that serves C-suite leaders in multiple industries.

During his career, Mark also has written and produced award-winning video content and served as an editor for company publications. In addition to his public relations experience, he has produced playwright and written two books of short stories. 

Mark is a graduate of the University of Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree.
