As our Vice President, Community Relations, Ryan has led numerous special projects for many of our corporate and philanthropic clients over the past 17 years. In his tenure at Parris, Ryan has been involved in all aspects of developing and implementing public relations and marketing communications plans and has executive produced a number of high-profile grand openings, press conferences and special events. He has managed events for Burns & McDonnell, Sprint and Sprint Center, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Starlight Theatre and many others.
Ryan works with the event planning team each year for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City’s Kids Night Out, one of Kansas City’s largest annual fundraising galas. He has similarly served as event coordinator for events for Children’s Mercy Hospital, The Points of Light Foundation, Kansas Governor’s Inaugural Committee and the Jewish Community Relations Bureau/American Jewish Committee, to name a few. Ryan enjoys his involvement in the Greater Kansas City community, including serving as a member of the AIDS Service Foundation Board and the AIDS Walk Kansas City Steering Committee.
In 2015, Ryan was a POWER of Diversity honoree, receiving the Ace Award by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Drury College in Springfield, MO. Ryan resides in Overland Park with his husband, Glenn, and their daughter, Harper. *
